Ica Clooney-Quin An organisation which offers a social & educational outlet to women in the local parish. Something the Guild still offers to this date.

In November 1979, a group of ladies gathered in a meeting room in Clooney Church and formed the first ever ICA Guild in the parish of Clooney/Quin. At the time many new families had set up home in the area and the ICA provided them with the ideal opportunity to socialise in a creative manner. The Guild takes an active interest in matters related to family, health issues, recreational and education

al activities. Any ladies wishing to avail of a social & educational outlet will be assured of a hearty welcome when they join our Guild at any of our monthly meetings at Quin Community Centre on the first Wednesday of each month.

Just a gentle reminder about our St Brigid’s Event this Saturday at 11.15am in Quin Community Centre 🌿
A lovely opportunity to celebrate St Brigids role as a symbol of renewal, care for the land and community, and to mark Imbolc — a traditional time when we pause to notice the turning point in the natural year, as the days begin to lengthen and the first signs of spring and new life appear 🌱🌼
A short presentation by Lena Ní hAodh on St Brigid, Imbolc and her strong link to nature, followed by a hands-on workshop making St Brigid’s crosses 🌾, kindly facilitated by Fiona McMahon.
