Thank you to everyone who donated unwanted spectacles to our Recycle for Sight campaign. We collected 510 pairs from our collection points at 0'Meara's SuperValu, Portumna Post Office, and McKeons Opticians. Each donation will help improve lives by giving the gift of sight and creating new opportunities for those who otherwise may not have access to vision care.
Please continue to support this worthwhile project by donating your unwanted glasses.

We look forward to welcoming you to our walk for Pieta House.

🚔 Starting at the Castle Gates opposite the Garda station

🕐 walk starts at 4.15am, please be there before this to sign the Banner of Hope and to meet everyone

🏆 we will also have a raffle for some Pieta merchandise, all monies go to Pieta.

💰 We will have buckets for collection if it have any spare change

👕 if you have not already registered please bring cash on the day and we will have limited supply of t shirts available

☕️ Please join us after the walk for refreshments outside the Garda station.

A huge thank you to Yvonne and all the staff at O’Meara’s SuperValu for your help and for so generously donating food vouchers in support of Portumna and District Lions Club Annual Food Appeal. Your kindness is truly appreciated.
We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who donated money or food to the baskets while we were collecting. Thanks to your generosity, the funds raised were distributed to families, the elderly, and others in our community who need a helping hand.
