Portlaoise Toastmasters Portlaoise Toastmasters is a non-profit educational club helping people with public speaking and leadership skills.

Meetings are held on 2nd and 4th Monday of every month from September to June at 8pm in Kavanagh's Bar, Portlaoise (R32 EP2K). Toastmasters International now comprises more than 280,000 members in 13,000 clubs in 116 countries around the world, from Pittsburgh to Pretoria, Perth to Portlaoise. ๐Ÿ† Portlaoise Toastmasters recognises the brilliant effort our members make at meetings. The Geraldine O'Loughlin Award is presented by the General Evaluator to a member who has contributed meaningfully to a meeting.

๐Ÿ’ซ Mary Killeen was presented the award by Steve O'Rourke at our meeting on Monday 27th April. Mary is a longstanding and highly valued member of Portlaoise Toastmasters. Well done Mary!

๐Ÿ’ซ Eoghan Martin was presented the award by Robin Evans at our meeting on Monday 11th May. Eoghan delivered his ice breaker speech at the meeting and is a new member of our club this year. Congrats Eoghan!

Jimmy provided an excellent review of the meeting, focusing in particular on parliamentary procedure (which of course is fundamental to a well run meeting).

We had two wonderful speeches from ๐Ž๐ซ๐ฅ๐š ๐…๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ก and ๐ƒ๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ and they were excellently evaluated by ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐Š๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐ง and ๐’๐ญ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž ๐Ž'๐‘๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ค๐ž.
