📣 Announcement of Theme and Walk Leaders for this year’s Doolough ‘Famine’ Walk 📣

We’re honoured to be joined this year by Walk Leaders, Donnah Sibanda Vuma, Patrick Bresnihan, Moya Cannon and Declan O’Rourke, who will guide us through this year’s theme: A Road to Remember, A Call That Remains.

Meet this year’s Walk Leaders in the slides, and find the full brochure and tickets through the QR code or this link: https://bit.ly/4vv98yY

This moving journey of remembrance and solidarity illuminates how the horrors of forced displacement, starvation, dehumanisation and militarism persist today, calling us into shared struggle for justice and liberation across time and place.

We would love if you could join us!

A discussion on The Future of Irish Neutrality will take place online on Thursday the 30th of April from 7- 8pm Irish Summer Time.

Link is in bio.

The event will feature Patrick Bresnihan, Rory Rowan and Fionn Wallace who will speak about the importance of preserving Ireland’s neutrality and the Triple Lock system — which requires UN, Government, and Dáil approval before Irish troops can be sent overseas.

All are welcome to attend and take part in an open discussion on Ireland’s role in promoting peace and diplomacy.

SEED SOVEREIGNTY UNDER THREAT

The EU is about to decide on new seed laws (PRM) and GMO deregulation (NGTs) — and the outcome could reshape the future of farming in Ireland.

These proposals risk:
• Restricting farmers’ right to save and exchange seeds
• Undermining seed diversity
• Expanding corporate control of our food system
• Opening the door to unlabelled GMOs

At Talamh Beo, we’re calling for urgent action.

👉 Contact your MEP today
Ask them: Will you protect farmers’ rights to save seeds and keep Ireland GMO-free?

This is about who controls our seeds — and our future.
