⚠️⚠️⚠️ UPDATE - The Defibrillator is accessible again, many thanks to all those involved who made it available.

_____________________________________________

The Defibrillator located at the Phone box in the Village is currently not accessible due to ongoing construction works.

We will talk with the builders this week to make it available.

In the meantime, in an event of a Cardiac emergency the closest AED's are located outside of the Church & Coach house.

Community First Responders play a vital role in supporting patients and communities, particularly in rural areas where they are often thefirst on scene in an emergency.

We’re delighted to see the incredible work of volunteers highlighted in this feature from the Irish Farmers Journal, following the tragic loss of Gerry O’Donnell in a farm accident.

A powerful reminder of the difference CFRs make every day. Thank you to all our CFR volunteers for the time, commitment and care you give to your communities.

Recently some of our Responders had the opportunity to visit the NEOC (National Emergency Operations Centre) division located in Ballyshannon, Donegal.

Here they saw firsthand the process that the fantastic Call-takers and Dispatchers follow & the staggering number of calls handled on a daily basis.

Many thanks to all involved who made this visit happen & keep up the great work 💪

Thank you to all who attended.

Yesterday evening, we had a practical training session based on a Chest pain scenario held in the Maldron Hotel.

The training was a great success and a massive learning exercise for some of our new Responders 🙂

Many thanks to all the Responders who participated and the Maldron Hotel Oranmore Galway for providing the Venue.
