OLDCASTLE AREA MEN’S SHED
We’re meeting up on the Tuesday evenings from 8-9:00 pm in May and Friday mornings too from 11:00 to 1:00 pm.
Come on along to our Shed across from the playground in town.
We meet up and enjoy a cuppa , a biscuit or two and a chat!
We’re always welcoming new members and of course our kettle is always on.
Come and enjoy the cuppa in the customised mugs kindly donated by ABR signs and finished off on very stylish matching coasters made by Liam Kenny! ☕️☕️

We are meeting up on Tuesday evenings now for the month of May. We’re trying out swapping between the evenings to see which suits best!

Hi there Men’s Sheds.
First post here!!!
We’re a newly formed Men’s Shed and are in a newly designated CLAR area and a targeted group eligible for grant funding.
Does any other shed have experience of qualifying and receiving funding through CLAR?
It’s not a straightforward a process but would love to hear from other sheds’ experiences!

We are changing our meeting up night this week!
We are meeting on TUESDAY EVENING MAY 5th @ 8 pm.
If you’ve not been able to join us on the Wednesday evenings maybe this one would suit!
We are meeting in our shed across from the playground at 8:00 pm for an hour.

Our men’s shed meet up every Wednesday evening in the shed across from the playground.
Why not pass an evening and come on along for a chat, a laugh, hear about the progress we’ve made and the plans we have, and of course the cuppa!

Our AGM and other news…
Oldcastle Area Men’s Shed held its second AGM in St Vincent de Paul Hall.
Our committee this year is as follows:
Joint Chairmen: Paddy Rennick and Seamus Smith
Secretary & PRO: Pauline Hetherton
Treasurers: Pat Malone and Niall Caffrey

Those attending our meeting heard about the progress of the shed during 2025. Through grants from Meath Co Council and very generous support from
JJ flood Manufacturing, Traditional Meat Company, Fleetwood Paints, Cllr Peter Caffrey, FlowerShop Oldcastle Meath, ABR SIGNS, Oldcastle Co-op Creamery Ltd

This support has helped us carry out improvements to our shed, making it more comfortable as a workshop and a meeting place.
Our meeting finished off with the mugs of tea which were very kindly sponsored by ABR signs!

Thanks again to everyone for their ongoing support and contributions - we're looking forward to another great year ahead with Oldcastle Areas Men’s Shed

Oldcastle Area Men’s Shed would like to add their voice to the support being expressed for Donna McQuaid, in the aftermath of the completely inexcusable attack on her business premises last night. As a group of men in the higher age brackets we are only too aware of the value of a caring person like Donna in her profession within our community. We wish her well as she picks up the pieces and gets her business back on track.
