A message from Limerick Regatta:

We would like to inform you that the Limerick Regatta and Schools Regatta will be taking place on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of April near the village of O'Briensbridge.

This is a well-established and popular event that brings together rowing clubs and schools from across the region. Weโ€™ll have some of Rowing Irelandโ€™s Olympic & World Championships crews visiting for medal presentations too.

While we are delighted to host this occasion, it will result in increased traffic in and around the village over the course of the two days. Some temporary traffic disruptions and delays are to be expected, particularly during peak times. We willhave road marshals in place & are working with the Guards in Killaloe on the plan.

We will have use a field for parking but to help ease congestion within the village, we are reaching out to local residents who may have access to a yard, field, or any suitable space that could be used for parking.

Parking could be charged for visitors and used as a fundraiser for the village or as a private charge. We think โ‚ฌ5-โ‚ฌ10 per car would be a reasonable amount & visitors would be willing to pay for the convince.

Your support in this regard would be greatly appreciated and would make a significant difference in managing the flow of visitors.

A big thanks to everyone who showed up on Saturday for our first ever Spring Clearout event. The sun shone and you came out in force and raised โ‚ฌ1,196 for the redevelopment of the old school. This surpassed all of our expectations and we are so grateful for your generousity on the day.

The raffle winners will be announced tonight, so eyes peeled for that! ๐ŸŽ‰

It was all hands on deck here this evening, as we kicked off the set up for tomorrow's Spring Clear-out.

Drop by anytime from 12-3pm for a cuppa, a chat and a browse...and maybe a sweet treat or two ๐Ÿ˜

There will be furniture, homewares, books, games, toys, clothes, plants, flowers, bikes, and more.

Don't forget to bring some cash (and shopping bags) as some of the stallholders won't be able to take card payments.

We'll have postcards for sale and a raffle too with all proceeds from both going direct to the redevelopment of the old school.
