⚽🌍 Obair Crèche World Cup Kick-Off! 🌍⚽

What a fantastic day we had today at Obair Crèche for our official World Cup Kick-Off!

The children arrived dressed in their team colours and jerseys from around the world, creating a wonderful atmosphere of fun and excitement. We had plenty of soccer games, red and yellow cards, and a referee who was even more card-happy than last night’s referee! 😂

A special thank you to Ros Café for providing delicious foods from the Americas, which were enjoyed by everyone.

The competition for Best Dressed was incredibly close, but Maria, proudly wearing her Swedish colours, just edged out leanne Markham, who looked fantastic in his father’s retro football jersey.

Well done to all our little football stars and staff for making the day such a memorable start to our World Cup celebrations! ⚽🏆🎉

Cannabis v**e products such as “Jenny Kush”, “Ice Cream Cake”, and “Blueberry Crumble” are becoming increasingly popular among teenagers. While these products often appear harmless due to their colourful packaging and sweet flavours, they can contain high levels of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.

Many young people obtain these products illegally through social media, messaging apps, friends, online sellers, or local dealers. Some products are imported from countries where cannabis is legal, while others are counterfeit or contain spice .
Research has linked regular cannabis use during adolescence with an increased risk of anxiety, depression, impaired memory, reduced concentration, and psychosis. Psychosis can involve paranoia, hearing voices, severe confusion, and a loss of touch with reality.

Parents should watch for warning signs such as sudden changes in behaviour, declining school performance, secrecy, mood swings, unusual sleep patterns, red eyes, or va**ng devices that do not contain ni****ne products. Open and non-judgemental conversations are often the most effective way to help young people understand the risks and seek support if needed.
