Are you involved in any sports or other community group?
Do you have children? Do you live with someone over-50?
Would you know what to do in an emergency where a Defibrillator could be used?
We invite you to join this free workshop.

Supported by Boher Community Development and Water Safety Ireland, Ita Richardson, Water Safety Ireland Instructor and Examiner will run this drop-in workshop for anyone who is interested in learning or refreshing their knowledge of CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) and Defibrillator use. This is a free event - you can join at any time during the session - where there will be training equipment for you to use. Ita will show you a Defibrillator and discuss how you can access local equipment if needed.

All are welcome.

🚑 Defibrillators Reinstalled in Ardcroney ❤️⚡

We’re delighted to share that two community defibrillators have now been successfully reinstalled in Ardcroney supported by .

These lifesaving devices are once again in place and ready for use if ever needed. Having accessible defibrillators in the community can make a critical difference in an emergency, giving someone the best possible chance of survival before medical help arrives.

A huge thank you to Noel Coonan who is involved along with a community group in maintaining and supporting these vital resources. 👏

💚⚡️Great news for our community! 💚⚡️

The New Institute has now installed their newly updated defibrillator in an outdoor box, provided by Defibs For Life Nenagh

This means 24/7 public access to a life-saving device right when it could be needed most. A huge thank you to Sheila Lawlor who was involved in making this happen — together we’re building a safer, stronger community! 🙌

💓 Restart a Heart 💓

We're a little bit late with our post but better late than never.

In an emergency, every second counts and knowing how to do CPR or use an AED (defibrillator) can literally save a life.

Here in Nenagh, we’re very lucky to have amazing community support. Defibs For Life Nenagh do huge work to provide AEDs around our town, and organisations like ourselves and our colleagues in the Irish Red Cross Nenagh Branch, Tipperary Fire & Rescue Service and Tipperary Civil Defence are dedicated to teaching CPR and AED skills to as many people as possible.

Steps to take:
❤️ Always Call 112 or 999
❤️ Immediately start chest compressions.
❤️ Use the nearest AED and it will guide you through each step of restarting the heart.

Taking a few minutes to learn these skills could help you save a friend, neighbour, or loved one.

On Sunday, we were surprised with a very kind and incredibly generous donation from Rainbow Pre-School and Childcare Centre Rainbow C.N.S. Rainbow Childcare are such an important part of our town, providing a wonderful service for local families. We were delighted to work with them over the summer for their fantastic fundraiser for Defibs where we taught the children CPR. For them to come back and support us now, is amazing and we are so grateful.

It’s organisations like Rainbow that truly make a difference in our town and your kindness is the pot of gold at the end of our rainbow! 🌈❤️

Massive thank you to Helen and all the crew at Rainbow Pre-School and Childcare Centre who had a very successful fundraiser during the summer in aid of Defibs For Life Nenagh 👏👏 These funds will go towards even more life saving defibrillators in our community. Thanks also to Vinny Savage for the music on the day and our friends Order of Malta Ireland -Ambulance Corps- Nenagh for the CPR demonstrations with the children ❤️👪✏️🚸
