Participants Wanted for Parkinson’s Research

Researchers at UCD are inviting people living with Parkinson’s, along with adults without Parkinson’s, to take part in a study exploring breathing muscles in Parkinson’s disease.

The study involves a single 45 to 60 minute session with simple, safe breathing assessments. Appointments can take place at UCD or in your home if travel is difficult.

Mental health is one of the most significant unmet needs in Parkinson's care in Ireland.

Research from the Neurological Alliance of Ireland shows that 75% of people living with Parkinson's say the condition affects their mental health, yet 72% have been unable to access mental health services.

This week, Parkinson's Ireland will launch our Pre Budget Submission, calling for greater investment in mental health supports for people living with Parkinson's.

We meet on the last Friday of every month at The Balreask Arms in Navan from 12pm.
