πŸ•οΈπŸ¦« Packing Tents and Good Times Together πŸ¦«πŸ•οΈ

As the camp came to an end, our Beavers and Scouts worked together to pack away the tents and campsite equipment. It wasn't just about tidying up – it was another opportunity to learn responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of leaving a campsite better than we found it.

There was plenty of laughter, helping hands, and great conversations along the way. The best part of Scouting isn't just the activities we do, but the friendships we build and the memories we create together.

From setting up camp to packing it away, our Beavers and Scouts showed fantastic teamwork and a positive attitude throughout the adventure.

Good camps are built with tents. Great camps are built with friendships. πŸ’š

πŸ”₯β˜• Hot Chocolate Time by the Bonfire! β˜•πŸ”₯

After a busy evening of adventures, teamwork, and outdoor fun, our Beavers gathered around the bonfire to enjoy one of the best parts of camp life – a warm cup of hot chocolate.

There is something special about sitting beside a crackling fire, sharing stories with friends, and enjoying a hot drink after a day spent outdoors. These simple moments often become the memories that last the longest.

Scouting is about more than learning skills – it's about friendship, community, confidence, and creating experiences that young people will remember for years to come.

Around every campfire, friendships grow stronger. πŸ¦«πŸ•οΈπŸ”₯

🦫🌲 Many hands make light work! 🌲🦫

Our Beavers had a great time learning that even the biggest jobs become easier when everyone works together.

From collecting and transporting firewood to helping their friends and encouraging one another, the Beavers showed fantastic teamwork, enthusiasm, and determination throughout the activity.

These simple outdoor tasks teach valuable life skills – responsibility, cooperation, communication, and confidence. Most importantly, they remind us that Scouting is about supporting each other and having fun while learning.

We are very proud of our young Beavers and the positive attitude they brought to every challenge.

Last night, 3 leaders from 15th Meath Navan Scouts spent the evening learning knife skills and safe wood carving. πŸ”ͺ🌲

We had an amazing 3 hours together. Plenty of laughs, plenty of learning, and a reminder that simple practical skills still matter in a world where most people struggle to even sharpen a pencil without watching a YouTube tutorial first.

By the end of the session, each of us had carved our own wooden knife by hand. Nothing fancy. Just time, patience, focus, and good company around a table sharing knowledge.

These are the moments that build real confidence, real friendships, and real scouting spirit.

The Beavers are getting ready for camping adventures. πŸ•οΈ

This week was all about learning how to prepare properly for camp life. Sleeping bags, tents, cooking gear, backpacks, and all the little things that suddenly become very important when Irish weather decides to test human optimism.

Every piece of equipment had to be checked, organised, and made ready for use.

The best part was seeing our Scouts and Ventures sharing their knowledge and experience with the younger Beavers. Teaching skills, helping each other, and passing on confidence is what Scouting is really about.

Small lessons now become big memories later around campfires, muddy boots, and early morning breakfasts that somehow always taste better outdoors. 🌲πŸ”₯

Some of our Beavers and Scouts visited the Sensory Garden opening in Navan today.

It was great to see a space being created for calm, connection, and inclusion β€” something that really matters in our community.

The group showed great respect and curiosity, and it was a good experience for everyone involved.

Fair play to the organisers for putting this together πŸ‘
All welcome, and well worth a visit.

⚜️ A piece of our history

We came across some long-forgotten badges β€”
each one holding a story, a camp, a moment.

One of our leaders took the time to bring them back to life and put them into a frame.

Good memories from old times, now part of our space again.

A reminder of where we’ve been β€” and what scouting is really about. 🌿

⚜️ Scouts in Action
Tonight was about real skills and real teamwork.
Working together, learning lashings, handling ropes, and turning loose timber into something solid.
No shortcuts. No screens.
Just patience, cooperation, and hands-on learning β€” exactly what scouting is meant to be.
Well done to all the scouts for the focus and effort, and thanks to the leaders who guide without doing it for them.
Slow learning. Strong foundations. 🌿

🌌 Scouts continued working on their space project tonight β€” and the results are really starting to take shape!

From building the satellite rubbish collector to adding final touches, the team is nearly there.
A few more steps and we’ll have the finished creation!

And of course… one of our Scouts even made their own space helmet πŸ‘¨β€πŸš€βœ¨
Creativity level: astronaut approved!

A fantastic evening full of imagination, teamwork, and plenty of laughs.
Well done everyone! πŸ’šπŸ’›
