Another fantastic Traveller Pride event took place in Carlow with St. Catherine's Community Services Centre at St. Patrick's College.
It was a brilliant day with hundreds of visitors attending the Living History Exhibition throughout the event. There was wonderful entertainment, a fantastic atmosphere and great engagement from everyone who attended, making it a truly enjoyable day for all.
One of the highlights of the day was listening to an inspiring panel of Travellers who shared their personal journeys and experiences of returning to education. Their stories highlighted the opportunities and supports available to Travellers of all ages and genders and sent a powerful message about the importance of education, determination and lifelong learning.
A huge congratulations to all the panel members, who were presented with awards in recognition of their hard work, dedication and achievements. Well done to our very own Ellen McDonagh, who shared her unique experience of the education system.
Well done to St. Catherine's Community Services Centre and everyone involved in organising such a successful and meaningful event. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of the day and can't wait for the next one! Megan Berry St. Catherine's Community Services Centre Stretch Har Harris
