Halla Bhaile Ghib Amenity and Community Centre in Baile Ghib, Co. Meath. It is between Navan and Kells beside Gibbstown Cross. It is run by volunteers.

Halla Bhaile Ghib - Gibbstown Community Centre, is in a rural Gaeltacht location just off the Kells to Slane Road (R163). We have many rooms that can be hired for various functions – meetings, conferences, seminars, Summer & midterm camps and training days. We also have a large hall with a stage. Our larger meeting room can be used for team building days with the addition of an Urban Assault Adven

ture Centre 3mins drive/19mins walk away. We offer remote working for employees, entrepreneurs, or students. We have high speed broadband and printing facilities. We currently have two office desk spaces available for renting on a daily-, short-, medium- or long-term basis at affordable prices.

Tógadh Brú na Midhe ar an talamh ar chúl Scoil Ultain Naofa , Baile Ghib , i 1939. An aidhm a bhí leis ná brú lán - Ghaeilge a chur ar fáil do pháistí os cionn dhá bhliain déag d’aois i rith na saoire. ( Brú na Midhe was built in 1939 behind Scoil Ultain Naofa in Baile Ghib to provide an Irish speaking hostel for children ages 12 + during the holidays) . Join local historian Maureen as she takes a trip down memory lane to Brú na Midhe with local community members .

Established in 1939 as an Irish speaking summer camp for children it ran successfully until it closed in 1970. If you are interested in local history or if you attended Brú na Midhe and have memories to share then this is the event for you. All welcome ,refreshments will be served on the night . Bí Linn .

✨ Tailteann Games talk- join Gerry O’Brien in Teltown as he gives a fascinating background to the Tailteann Games,the forerunner to the modern Olympic Games as we know them . For many centuries, the Tailteann Games were an annual event held in Teltown, County Meath, and presided over by the King of Tara. The games included chariot and horse races, boxing and wrestling and in the evening musicians and storytellers entertained the crowds. This was a very enjoyable event last year and is back by popular demand!
