What a special day last Friday, marking the achievement of the Community Addiction Studies, Cavan, class of 2026. Thank you to MEP, Aodhan O'Riordan for presenting the awards, Mary Mauger for capturing the moment and Tina Russell for facilitating with The North East Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force.
A special thank you to the students for your hard work, bringing your learning into your communities.

A huge jump in tickets today for our sober rave, thank you everyone! All your ticket sale contribution will go to 3 recovery initiatives in Meath. There's still time to get your tickets f you are rightfully suffering from FOMO!
A little housekeeping, You go in the gates on the left of hotel, through courtyard and down to LIV Nightclub at the Headfort Arms in Kells.
As this is a substance free event, there will be no alcohol sold in the venue, but there will be a soft bar.
There are restaurants if you'd like to make a night of it.
We are asking to limit phone use, no video's to be taken, by all means grab a keepsake photo with your mates. ( Don't want video of ourselves doing the robot circulating!)
Other than that, dance, have fun, that's a directive!

💜 When addiction has touched different stages of your life, how do you begin to find your own way forward?

In Episode 2 of The Family Addiction Support Podcast, Christine from Co. Meath shares an incredibly honest account of her experiences of addiction and its impact across different stages of her life.

Christine reflects on experiences from childhood and later on the impact of addiction within her own family.

Her story explores something many family members will recognise - how easy it can become to focus entirely on the person struggling with addiction while losing sight of your own needs, wellbeing and ability to cope.

It is also a story about learning, boundaries, support and beginning to respond differently to circumstances you cannot control.

We sincerely thank Christine for speaking so openly and for sharing experiences that may help another family member feel understood.
