Film is important.
Short film is forever.
It’s what filmmakers sink their teeth into as they learn.
It’s what seasoned filmmakers go back to when they want to try something new.
It’s a simpler, shorter version of a film.
It’s a perfect humble story.
It’s our favourite thing.

How lucky was TweetFest to get to programme ELSA last year. As we continue to spotlight the filmmakers and actors who help make our festival what it is, today we share Nina Yndis’ () journey and what Nina has coming up next.

In Nina’s words….”The Elsa team had a fantastic time screening at TweetFest 2024. The opening gala was a standout, with an incredible selection of shorts, and we loved being part of the programme at the much-loved Hen & Chickens Theatre. Huge thanks to TweetFest for having us!
While Elsa continues its festival run, director Rebecca King and I (producer) have a slate of exciting projects ahead. Alongside filmmaker friends including Fayez Bakhsh, we’ve launched a comedy group—The Major Acts Against Wisdom Orchestra (The MAAW Orchestra). Our first short, Blue Rooster, is on the festival circuit, Pretty Privilege is in post, and two more MAAW shorts are in prep for shoots.

Rebecca and I are also developing two feature films—one of them the feature version of Elsa.”

Big shout out to for her incredible directing on Elsa too 🙌

Also Nina, didn’t we spot you on a very cool video game? That looked amazing!! 😎

Check out what Nina has coming up next. And stay tuned for TweetFest 2025 later this year.

We are absolutely thrilled to be back at Best of the Fests, created by , of which we are proudly a founding member.

The last few tickets are now available for this event on Saturday. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! Order via The Garden Cinema website.

This Best of the Fests we are screening ’s short film, Hot Mess, as the Tweetup short film. Tortor came onto our radar in 2024 when they entered TweetFest with this brilliant short about ADHD told in a uniquely creative way! We can’t wait to watch it again at this Saturday.

And of those of you signed up for our networking drinks this week, we shall see you there. That’s also a full house. 🥳🤩

We loved CRUSTS when it screened in TweetFest in 2024, and now you can too. It’s available on to watch.

Congratulations to the whole team. It has had a brilliant run at Academy, BAFTA, BIFA and IFTA qualifying festivals, and won multiple awards, including at TweetFest.

Starring Tony-nominated Louis McCartney, alongside Claire Rafferty, Anna Healy, and Riona Gallagher, this is one outstanding short film.

Directed by Alfie Dale and written by Ben Ferrity . For the full team behind this amazing short, see .
