We’re currently recruiting for a number of exciting roles, including Quality, Safety & Compliance Manager, Person in Charge, House Lead, Social Care Workers and Community-Based Support Staff/Healthcare Assistants.

Whether you’re newly qualified and starting your career in Social Care, an experienced Social Care Worker looking for a new opportunity, or interested in community-based support, we’d love to meet you. It was a pleasure to welcome members of Meath County Council to our respite home in Navan to share an update on the work of Clann Mór and our plans for the future.

We were delighted to talk about our residential, respite and outreach services across County Meath, and our continued commitment to supporting people with intellectual disabilities to live with dignity, independence and choice, while remaining connected to their local communities.

A particular highlight was sharing our plans for a new four-bedroom residential home in Kells, due to open in January, an important development as the need for additional residential and respite supports continues to grow across the county.

We were also delighted to hear warm words of support from Cllr Francis Deane, Mayor of the Navan Municipal District, who recognised the contribution Clann Mór makes to communities across Meath.

Thank you to all the councillors who took the time to meet with us and hear about our work, our plans and our ambitions for the future. We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with our local communities and public representatives.

And just like that… it’s all over! 🇪🇸🥾

We completed our Camino de Santiago journey, arriving together at the magnificent Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Over 100 kilometres walked, countless hills climbed, and plenty of sore feet and tired legs, but not one person gave up! Every step was made worthwhile by the incredible people who shared this unforgettable journey.

What a truly fabulous group! Along the way, we’ve shared laughter, stories, a few blisters, some questionable walking techniques 😂, delicious food and, most importantly, friendships that will last long after we leave the Camino.

We celebrated properly with our certificate ceremony in the historic surroundings of Santiago, beneath the shadow of the magnificent Santiago de Compostela Archcathedral Basilica.

We are immensely proud of every single one of our walkers. ❤️

But this journey was about so much more than walking. The generous contribution everyone has made to our Clann Mór new house project will make a meaningful difference to the lives of four new residents, who will soon have a place to call home.

100+ kilometres. 19 incredible people. One very special cause.

🥾 Camino Day 4 – Arzúa to Pedrouzo 🇪🇸

Day four is in the bag! ✅

Today we made our way from Arzúa to Pedrouzo, with the Spanish sun turning up the heat and reminding us that we’re definitely not on a sightseeing holiday! ☀️😂

The terrain was kinder to us today, with fewer of the big climbs that tested the legs over the past few days. That said, there are a few blisters starting to make their presence felt - although nobody is admitting to being in pain… yet! 😜

The scenery continues to be spectacular, with beautiful countryside, shady forest paths and plenty of those little Camino moments that make all the effort worthwhile.

And, of course, there have been some excellent stops for food, a bit of craic and the occasional very well-earned cold drink 🍻. The friendships within the group are getting stronger by the day and the stories are getting better or at least more exaggerated!

Four days done, plenty of kilometres behind us and spirits are still sky-high. Tomorrow brings us ever closer to Santiago. 💪🥾

Most importantly, we’re doing it all for Clann Mór.

Well, that was some day! 😂🥾

Today we covered over 25 kilometres from Palas de Rei to the outskirts of Arzúa — and, despite a few moments when some of us seriously questioned our life choices, all 19 made it! 💪😂

There were some fairly savage hills along the way. It wasn’t helped by a strong sun and very warm temperatures.

But what a day. Beautiful countryside, spectacular little villages, plenty of laughs and some great stories shared along the way. The group is really coming together now, and new friendships are being made every day.

Of course, there are a few tired legs, sore feet and people walking slightly differently than they were this morning! 😆 But once the boots come off and the first drink arrives, a few songs will be sung and all seems to be forgotten. 🍻

We’re doing this for a great cause - Clann Mór - and every kilometre brings us a little closer to our goal of providing a new home in Kells for four residents next January.

Well over half the Camino done. The craic is mighty. The legs are questionable. And tomorrow we go again for our second last stage! 🇪🇸❤️🥾

Camino Day Two – Portomarín to Palas de Rei 🇪🇸

Well, we survived Day One… and somehow 19 of us turned up again this morning! 😂

Today we made our way from Portomarín to Palas de Rei, and what a beautiful stage it was. Some spectacular forest walking, stunning countryside and some wonderfully pretty Galician villages. 🌳🌿🇪🇸

Of course, there were a few hills that seemed to appear from nowhere, and by the end there were a few discussions about whether our legs actually belonged to us anymore! 😂

But the craic, the banter and the camaraderie have been brilliant. There’s always someone at the back, someone at the front, someone looking for coffee and someone insisting they know exactly where we’re going… even when they clearly haven’t got a clue! 😄

Two days down, plenty more miles to go and Santiago is getting closer.

Most importantly, we’re doing it together and raising money for Clann Mór and the important work we’re doing to support four new residents moving into their new home in January. ❤️

19 walkers. Tired legs. Big smiles. One great cause.

Tomorrow… we do it all again! 🥾🍷
