Join our Fingal Heritage Officer Christine Baker on Tuesday March 24th in County Hall Swords at 7pm for the launch of what is an interesting and poignant book. Over 400 Fingal men and women died in the tragic circumstances of WW1 and this book demonstrates the scale and scope of the impact of the war on ordinary people and the damage that the war did to families across the north county Dublin area.

Free copies will be distributed via Fingal Libraries; be available for collection on the night or for greater numbers by arrangement with the Heritage Officer.

The author Dr Bernard Kelly will speak, along with local historian Peter Rooney and former chairman of ICTU David Begg.

☘️ Happy St Patrick’s Day! ☘️

Today we share with you this traditional Irish blessing:
"May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand."
