TOUCH Ireland has been fortunate to connect with thousands of wonderful children in lots of countries through our projects. Many of the children we meet are extremely poor and suffering from disease, hunger, abuse, war and environmental disasters. As a result we are passionate about helping children in need. We have just commenced a new scheme in Jalbire,
Nepal which was devastated in the recent Earthquakes. This left most of the villagers homeless; we have rebuilt a number of houses and now hope to rebuild some of the children’s lives with your support. Child Sponsorship Helps Extremely Vulnerable Children
Children in sponsorship programs live in some of the world’s poorest communities and they often come from the families who need help most within those communities. They are extremely vulnerable to the effects of poverty and environmental devastation. When the global economy is good, poor children usually benefit the least. When the global economy slows, poor children feel the impact most.
