What does Zero Tolerance actually look like in practice? 💙

We’re opening up our Zero Tolerance Pledge Workshop to individuals, businesses, and organisations across Ireland.

This free 90-minute online session is a starting point, a space to learn, reflect, and take a clear, visible stand.

Together, we’ll explore:

– What Zero Tolerance really means in everyday settings
– How to create safer, more respectful environments
– The role we all play in culture change

At the end of the session, you’ll receive:

✔ A Zero Tolerance Pledge Certificate
✔ A digital banner to display on your website or socials

This is our foundational training, accessible, practical, and open to all.

Whether you’re an individual, part of a team, or leading an organisation, you are welcome here.

☘️ Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Zero Tolerance Midlands ☘️

Today is a day to celebrate Irish culture, community and connection. Across the Midlands and beyond, people will be gathering with friends and family to mark the occasion.

As communities come together to celebrate, we also take this opportunity to remind everyone that there is zero tolerance for sexual and gender-based violence in our communities.

Celebrations should always be safe, respectful and inclusive for everyone.

If you're out today:
💚 Look out for one another
💚 Respect boundaries
💚 Get home safely

Let’s continue working together to build communities where everyone can celebrate without fear.

Have a safe and enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day.

Ahead of the vote this Wednesday, we’re asking for your support.

At trial, the counselling notes of victims and survivors of r**e and gender-based violence should not be used to undermine their credibility or retraumatise them. Access to counselling is a right, it should never come at the cost of justice.

Change your profile picture or share this graphic to your stories to stand with survivors and to call for protections that respect dignity, privacy, and trauma-informed justice.

Survivors deserve to be heard.

Survivors deserve to be protected.

✨ Westmeath leads the way ✨

Westmeath is set to become the first county in Ireland to take the Zero Tolerance Pledge, marking a powerful commitment to safety, respect and accountability.

Publicly standing WITH victims & survivors of sexual & gender based violence and AGAINST violence in all its forms.

We are delighted to have the unanimous support of all elected members of Westmeath County Council, showing what’s possible when leadership stands together.

This is a huge step forward, and we hope it will encourage counties nationwide to follow Westmeath’s example.

✨ Nollaig na mBán ✨

Today we mark Nollaig na mBán, a day rooted in Irish tradition that recognises women’s labour, care, and contribution, much of which has too often gone unseen or unacknowledged.

Historically, Nollaig na mBán offered women a rare pause after the Christmas season. Today, it also gives us space to reflect on how far we’ve come, and how far we still need to go to create a society where all women can live free from violence, coercion, and inequality.

At Zero Tolerance Midlands, we celebrate women in all their diversity - cis and trans women, Traveller and migrant women, disabled women, women of colour, LGBTQ+ women, women of every age and background.

There is no single way to be a woman, and every woman’s experience matters.

This Nollaig na mBán, we honour:

✨ the unpaid and underpaid work women do every day
✨ the strength it takes to speak out and seek support
✨ the power of solidarity, community, and collective action

May today be a moment of rest where possible, recognition where needed, and renewed commitment to a future built on respect, equality, and zero tolerance for violence against women.

🩵 Happy Nollaig na mBán from the Zero Tolerance Midlands Committee 🩵
