Well, some MMS members went to this KATS - Knocknacarra Amateur Theatre Society production last night and had a ball. Riotously funny farce, especially the incredible second act, which demanded so much of the actors in relation to delivering their lines and a huge level of physical humour. Some tickets are still available for their shows each day until Saturday and we couldn't recommend it enough.

On top of that Opacas bassist and songwriter, Pat Boyle, treads the boards for the first time with one of the best Jeremy Irons accents north of that man's pink castle in West Cork. Multitalented.

Really worth your time. Well done, KATS - Knocknacarra Amateur Theatre Society.

Our good friends at SCCUL Sanctuary are holding their annual Choir Factor event at 7.15PM tonight at Saint Nicholas' Collegiate Church, Galway. We at MMS have very fond memories of performing at this and have no doubt that this will be a huge success.

Our chairman is singing with High Fidelity, though we're not remotely biased...Good luck to all the choirs! 😜 (The event can be streamed as well for those who cannot get there. More details on this at SCCUL Sanctuary)

Well, tonight is the night our friends in Opacas take to the stage for the launch of their second album (recorded in THAT Abbey Road) at the wonderful Pádraicín's, by the sea in Furbo. Well worth stopping by if you love multi-harmony pop songs, dripping in sunshine. Have an absolute ball, lads.

Lorna Salmon was one of our guests at our MMS Eurovision Show on Friday evening last. She performed a wonderful version of Loreen's 'Tattoo', the Swedish winner from 2023.

Lorna is a full time choral director with a number of choirs, some of which will be performing in the Bailey Allen Hall in University of Galway on 07 March 2026.

It looks like it will be a really great concert for people who love choral music. Go, Lorna!
