MYT is a proud member of the Irish youth theatre community and is affiliated to Youth Theatre Ireland. Mountrath Youth Theatre is a safe space where young people aged 12-25 can be themselves,
grow in confidence and learn theatre craft in a creative way. Mountrath Youth Theatre successfully delivers creative experiences that promote the artistic, personal and social development of young people. MYT

delivers quality artistic experiences through a full and varied drama and film workshop programme and the production of excellent, exciting and challenging theatre and films made by the
young people. MYT is committed to maintaining a high artistic standard in its productions and to engaging with
contemporary theatre and youth theatre on a local, regional and national level. We also deliver other activities and events that encourage wider community
participation by young people in creative activities and help grow membership. We are currently
delivering both indoor and outdoor sessions supplemented by on line workshops as required. MYT is supported by Laois Arts Office, Laois Offaly Creative Youth Partnership & Mountrath Development Association.
