Action 51 of Trading for Impact (https://assets.gov.ie/static/documents/trading-for-impact-national-social-enterprise-policy-2024-2027.pdf) the National Social Enterprise policy includes a commitment to periodically hold a Census of Social Enterprise. Growing, strengthening, and realising the impact of social enterprises within communities are key goals of the Government’s Social Enterprise Policy, and the information collected during the Census is key to the continued targeted delivery of this policy, and how the sector will be supported into the future.

Minister for Community Development and Charities, Jerry Buttimer TD said:
“This Census will help us understand where social enterprises are growing and where they need additional support to ensure decisions made about the sector are informed by the voices and experiences of those delivering real impact on the ground.

“For the first time, we will be able to conduct a comparative analysis between the data from 2023 and 2026, which will provide a strong evidence base to Government, along with those stakeholders we work in partnership with, to target our work to support the sector.”

Following a competitive tendering process, that included a social clause, the Consortium of Social Enterprise Republic of Ireland and Amárach Research were awarded the contract to deliver this project on behalf of the Department of rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. Please provide only one response from each social enterprise

# # Hello, How Are You 2026

Our DLR Social Prescribing Programme for Health & Wellbeing, the Southside Partnership DLR Integration Team, DLR Sports Partnership, the DLR Arts Office, DLR Libraries, the DLR Age-Friendly Programme, Creative DLR and of course Mental Health Ireland once again partnered together for the Hello, How Are You? campaign 2026 — a campaign focused on connection, community and open conversations around mental health.

The morning brought together social prescribing participants and members of the wider community for a welcoming and engaging programme of activities. Participants enjoyed a relaxing Tai Chi taster session with Aédin Twamley, followed by an inspiring breathwork session with Barry Dempsey from Cold Water Breathe Fire.

The event also provided an opportunity for attendees to hear updates from participating services, discover upcoming activities, and learn more about ways to become involved in their local community. Most importantly, the morning created space for meaningful conversations, connection, support, and plenty of chats over tea and coffee.

A fantastic day was had by all and we look forward to celebrating again next year.

To get involved in our social prescribing programme please contact us at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) or phone 087 108 4339 to find out more. We currently cover Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown East.
