Well done to the U10 Community Games Gaelic Football team, who delivered a superb display of skill, determination, and teamwork to overcome a very strong Gainstown-Milltownpass side in a brilliant contest at Castledaly GAA.

The boys have now secured their place in the County Final, which is set to take place in the coming weeks. Best of luck to all involved! 🟡🟢

Castledaly competed in their first ever under-8 Camogie games yesterday in Athlone in a brilliantly organised blitz by our friends in Southern Gaels. The girls showed fantastic skill and heart and no shortage of bravery. Well done to Marta, Simone, Aoibhe, Ivy, Millie, Alannah and Aimee for such a wonderful effort against two Drumraney teams and Cullion. Thanks to all the parents and coaches Thomas, Jean, Julianne, David and Ciarán for getting them out on the field of play. 🟡🟢

Castledaly supporters were there in numbers to roar Westmeathgaaofficial on to a famous Leinster Championship triumph over Dublin. 🏆

U8 and U10 boys enjoyed a fantastic morning of in Castledaly GAA this morning (Saturday)! 🏐

With lots of lovely sunshine above there was loads of good football, great fun, excitement and entertainment for the numerous supporters.
The level of skill these young players have already achieved is a great compliment to their clubs, coaches, mentors, and families.
All the smiles and cheers at the end combined to make for the perfect start to the Summery weekend ☀️👏

An incredible week for Kilcleagh National School who lit up Cusack Park with their hurling and football skills during the Cumann na MBunscol Finals.

It wasn’t to be for the hurlers on Monday but these boys can be hugely proud of the strides they have made with many of them still very new to the game. The lads battled hard and led for much of the proceedings before being edged out in the closing stages by a strong St. Kenny’s NS side.

Wednesday 20th May will live long in the memory as the day when both the girls and boys footballers brought county titles back to Castedaly. Gwen Brady led the scoring charge for the girls and was a deserving player of the match from a long list of candidates in yellow and green.

With the standard now set, the lads followed suit and produced a sensational display of their own. With standout performances all over the field, Tiernan O’Shaughnessy’s heroics throughout earned him the nod for player of the match.

We are hugely proud of all of young players and we commend everyone involved in the school for their continued dedication in growing Gaelic games in our community. 🟡🟢
