Congratulations to Liz Downes 👏👏👏

The National Network of Older Peoples Councils held their AGM in the Gibson Hotel in Dublin on Tuesday 30th September.

👏 Liz Downes, the Chair of Cork County Older Peoples Council was elected to the position of Vice Chair of the National Network.

Liz is a champion for older people and always highlights the importance of Older People staying connected and involved in their communities. She is a lifelong member of the Irish Girl Guides and a great advocate for the importance of intergenerational projects and the sharing of knowledge and experience between the generations.
We wish Liz the best of luck as she takes on her role at a national level.

👏 We would also like to congratulate Catherine Lenihan from the Kerry Older Peoples Council who was elected to the role of Chairperson.

The Mrs Claus Treasure Hunt.
You will have to purchase a Treasure map for €2, from one of the Elves. Each map has 10 clues which will lead you to Mrs Claus. You MUST find all 10 clues. When you find her, the Elves will exchange your map for a treat, and you get to visit Mrs Claus.
One map=One treat. One map per child.
Map location is TOP SECRET and will be revealed on Saturday at 4pm on FB.
Hunt goes on from 4-5.15 pm.
Event in the Square starts at 5.30 sharp.
