No matter what colour t-shirt you pull on at Relay for life you join a bigger movement, a family, a team of support.
Our buddies from other counties walk our track as we walk theirs .each carrying the same messages wanting the same thing . To support families in their individual journeys until we as a whole can rid this world of the word Cancer.
Mayo and Donegal have always shared a special bond (off the Gaa field). The long standing (still very youthful team) came to our aid on our first year and ever since guiding us through the set up process. Letting us borrow all there equipment and signs until we built up a store of stuff ourselves. Its the little things.
We have gotten to take on that mantel now and support others as they start their journey. Like our beloved neighbours in Sligo (not that they needed much help they flew it from day 1)
But that support is never forgotten. So we like to visit our Donegal leaders and share in their magic. I will share some of it with you all later when we arrive. Its a fantastic example of what Relay can achieve year on year .
Good luck to all at Relay For Life Donegal and every Relay in Ireland ๐ฎ๐ช and beyond. We stand with you. We Relay for you ,Relay with us
