Relay For Life Mayo is a 24 hour event in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. What is Relay For Life? Relay For Life is a celebration of solidarity.

Relay for Life is a unique and beautiful opportunity to celebrate those that have survived cancer, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and to stand shoulder to shoulder with those battling cancer.

It’s a very special Relay weekend for two wonderful communities today.
☘️ To our neighbours in Sligo, we’re wishing you the very best for your 2nd annual Relay For Life. After an incredible first year that saw Sligo recognised as the No. 1 Global Trailblazer outside the USA, we can’t wait to see you do it all over again. 💜
💚 And all the way down to Kerry, where our friends are holding their very first Relay For Life in Lyreacrompane. There’s something incredibly special about that first Relay, and we hope today is the beginning of many wonderful years for your community.
From all of us at Relay For Life Mayo, we wish every survivor, carer, team member, volunteer, committee member and supporter an unforgettable weekend filled with celebration, remembrance and hope. 🕯️💜

💜 €3,200... and every single euro carries a story of kindness. 💜
Today we had the absolute pleasure of accepting an incredible cheque for €3,200 from Newport Pickleball Club in support of Relay For Life Mayo.
This isn't a one off act of generosity either. Last year they raised an amazing amount in Westport, and this year they did it all over again. Their continued support means the world to us.
A special word of thanks has to go to Sue Steer.
If you've ever met Sue, you'll know exactly what we mean when we say she is a force of nature. Her energy, determination and commitment inspire everyone around her. She proves every day that passion has no age limit, and Relay is incredibly lucky to have champions like her leading from the front.
But this achievement belongs to so many people.
To every player who entered... To everyone who bought raffle tickets... To the businesses who donated prizes and sponsorship... To the volunteers who gave up their time... To every person who supported the event in any way...
Thank you.
Relay For Life has always been about communities standing together, and Newport Pickleball Club is a shining example of exactly what that looks like.
As we get ready to announce our final Relay For Life Mayo 2026 fundraising total very soon, this presentation is the perfect reminder that every euro starts with someone deciding to help.
Together, those individual acts of kindness become something extraordinary.

When the Lord himself made legends he sent them all a love for Relay x they are just that bit different xx well done to our besties in Relay For Life Donegal to our beloved neighbours in Sligo for supporting everyone as always. And to our our representative Pauline Moran and co that made their way to share a cuppa with Daniel and Majella in the name of Relay .
