A big step forward for children’s cancer support across Ireland!
Construction on Daisy Lodge Cong, our second therapeutic facility for children across the island of Ireland diagnosed with cancer and their families will begin in August and we can’t wait to bring you along on this journey👷‍♂️
We were delighted to bring together the project team as we prepare to kickstart construction on this beautiful 30-acre site, which in approximately 18 months will be transformed into a safe and restorative space for families facing the challenges of a childhood cancer diagnosis đź’›
This included Connolly & Fee Ltd who were confirmed as contractors for the build following a public procurement process, and d-on architects. They were joined by our Young Ambassador, Vanessa, and Darren McCormack, Estates Manager for HSE Ireland West.
Speaking about this momentous milestone, our CEO, Phil Alexander said,
“This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support of our stakeholders – including the Roinn Sláinte, Department of Health HSE, the Shared Island Fund, the local community, funders and our generous donors. Our commitment to engaging with all of you will continue throughout this next vital phase. We are deeply grateful for your belief in our vision, and we look forward to taking you on this journey with us as we strive to ensure no child faces cancer alone. Together, we are creating a special place for families impacted by childhood cancer.”
