PHOENIX CHALLENGE 2026

Congratulations to our Scout Patrol who took home Silver award in this year’s Phoenix Challenge ⚜️

The trophy may go home with one patrol, but the skills, friendships, confidence and memories created here belong to every Scout who took part.

You should all be incredibly proud.

Some of our Rover Scouts are just home from their Annual Camp in County Kerry. They travelled by train down before setting up camp at Rainbow Hostel’s camping grounds for the weekend.

Over the course of the weekend they went swimming at Ventry Beach, hiked Mount Brandon and explored Di**le.

Thursday Scouts are just back from an amazing Summer Camp in Fordell Firs, north of Edinburgh. We had a fun and adventure filled camp, with plenty of outdoor activities and even an afternoon at the funfair! Take away lesson from this trip - the North Sea can be quite cold to swim in, even during Summer 😄
Huge thanks to Stevie and the amazing staff at Scout Adventures Fordell Firs for making sure we had a fantastic time.
Now time to hang the tents to dry and start prep for the Phoenix!

A big thank you to Dublin Port for facilitating a boat tour of the port this morning for 50 Beavers, Cubs & their Scouters. The tour was fascinating and watching the Thomas Clarke bridge being raised for the boat tour go through was a real highlight.

Massive thank you to Scouter Claire, Ventures and parent Niamh who maned water station 4 for the Clontarf Half marathon yesterday resulting in a very generous donation to 1st Dublin Fairview. Ventures to the rescue again!!! 😊 Thank you all so much for your time and energy!! ⚜️
