📢 OUT IN FORCE FOR THE DJD JIM WALSH CORK FORESTRY RALLY!

The Irish Red Cross Mallow-Charleville Unit are proud to be providing medical cover for this year’s DJD Jim Walsh Cork Forestry Rally! 🚗💨🚑

We have a strong team on the ground, bringing together volunteers from our own Mallow-Charleville unit, alongside colleagues from across Cork and Tipperary. We’re also delighted to be working closely with members of the Motorsport Ireland Rally Rescue teams for this event.

Our 4x4 response vehicles are deployed across the route, led by our qualified Emergency Medical Technicians, ready to provide rapid response and support wherever needed.

Wishing every driver, co-driver, official and volunteer a safe, smooth and enjoyable rally! If you spot our teams out on the stages, give us a wave 👋

📣 All Together Now 2026 📣

Mallow/Charleville Irish Red Cross are proud to be part of the medical cover team for this year's All Together Now festival, hosted by Efast & IRISH RED CROSS PORTLAW BRANCH & UNIT

Over the festival weekend, our members will be working alongside Red Cross units from across the country, providing Paramedic, EMT, EFR and First Aid cover to keep festival-goers safe.

It's a huge team effort, and we're delighted to be supporting it. Best of luck to everyone involved — see you on site! 🚑

Today marks the start of Charleville Show!🐄

With over 20,000 people expected across the weekend, this is no small operation!

On the ground this weekend we have:

3 x 4x4 Ambulances covering the vast showgrounds and all the action across the many activities

3 x Ambulances on site, with fantastic support from our colleagues at Irish Red Cross Cobh Branch and Irish Red Cross - Limerick Area

And our command vehicle stationed at our dedicated first aid post

Our crews are made up of a great mix of Paramedics, EMTs, EFRs and First Aiders, bringing a wide range of skills and experience to keep everyone safe across the weekend.

Our first aid post is fully operational with dedicated triage and resus areas, ready for whatever the weekend brings. Delivered fully by our volunteers!

A massive thank you to every single volunteer who showed up for set up and is giving their time today and tomorrow.

To everyone heading to Charleville Show this weekend, enjoy every minute!

This weekend our crews also headed West to support our friends at Kerry Civil Defence across Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Listowel Races! 🎉

Our crews of Paramedics, EMTs and EFRs were on the ground throughout the long weekend, keeping racegoers safe while the atmosphere was electric and the racing was brilliant! 🏇

Mallow/Charleville Irish Red Cross was out in force at the Cork City Marathon!

We deployed 2 rapid response jeeps and 1 ambulance, all paramedic-led, positioned and ready throughout the event to ensure every runner, supporter and spectator had the safety net they deserved. 🚑

Events like this are a true team effort and it was brilliant to work alongside some of Cork’s finest volunteer organisations, fellow Irish Red Cross units from across Cork, Civil Defence, St. John Ambulance and the Order of Malta.

To every runner who pushed through the wall, dug deep and crossed that line, we salute you! And to the crowds who came out to cheer them on, Cork never disappoints!

From Friday through to Sunday, our volunteers were out in force at the Mallow Garden Show, keeping everyone safe while the crowds enjoyed the beautiful displays. A massive thank you to our incredible Paramedics, EMTs, EFRs and FARs who gave up their weekend to be there!

But we weren’t done there! 🏐 We also had a crew on the pitch at Kilmallock for a cracking LGFA double header — Kerry vs Waterford and Cork vs Clare. Great football, great coverage. A special shoutout to our friends at Irish Red Cross, Fermoy. for their assistance on the today, and to our paramedic-led crew who represented the unit brilliantly.

🚨🚨Duhallow Point 2 Point 🚨🚨

Busy day today at Duhallow Point 2 Point in Dromahane with 2 4x4’s and 2 Road Ambulances in attendance

Great work done by our volunteers which included Paramedics, EMT’s, EFR’s and FAR’s.

A huge thank you to the attending Doctors and the Order of Malta for their support.

🚑 Mallow 10 Mile Road Race 🚑

Today Mallow/Charleville Irish Red Cross was proud to provide medical cover for the Mallow 10 Mile Road Race 🏃‍♂️

With over 20 dedicated volunteers on duty, we deployed 6 vehicles from Rapid Response Jeeps to fully equipped road ambulances, along with a fully staffed medical tent at the event.

Thankfully our services were not required, which is always the best outcome. Our teams remained ready and prepared throughout the day, ensuring a safe event for all involved.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for giving up their time and energy to help keep everyone safe, and well done to all the runners who took part 👏
