A very special visit to Sli Eile today 🌿

We were delighted to welcome Minister of State for Mental Health, Mary Butler, along with Minister Michael Moynihan, to Sli Eile.

It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the unique work of Sli Eile and the difference our community makes in supporting people on their recovery journey. Our visitors met with tenants, staff, families and supporters, and heard firsthand about the importance of connection, meaningful activity, community and belonging in supporting mental health and recovery.

We also want to thank the HSE for their ongoing support and the North Cork Mental health team for Coming today to support us.

Thank you to Mary and Michael for taking the time to visit, listen and engage with our community.

Thanks also to Ian Doyle and Cornelius Cotter for your support. we are nothing without our amazing volunteers, Board , staff and tenants, especially to Carmel who spoke about our her lived health experience .

We are a safe base for people Who need a fresh start and we are the only one in Ireland.

A huge thank you also to everyone who helped make the visit such a success. 🌱

We will be opening the oratory in Burton park tomorrow at 11 am to the public along with cars and coffee, plans to be a lovely morning !

Our deli sells local cheeses some of which one from Toon bridge, macroom . We teamed this up with our organic basil grown on our farm in churchtown, mallow, Co Cork. Our organic veg is certified organic and is harvested the day before our market. No storage, no shipping it, just local and no pesticides.

We are open again this Saturday form 10 to 1 pm, your support means a lot to us. We are a local mental Health residenital charity.

In the Irish language, slí eile means ‘another way’ and Slí Eile was set up to provide an alternative recovery option for those who might otherwise have to spend time in psychiatric hospital.

🌟 VOLUNTEERS NIGHT – A HUGE THANK YOU! 🌟

What a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy, skills and heart to Sli Eile. 💚

Our volunteers are such an important part of what we do. From helping in our garden and bakery, supporting our social enterprises, lending a hand at Farmers market sharing their talents and simply being there for the people we support — you make a real difference. 🌱🥖💚

It was fantastic to come together for an evening of good food, music, laughter and friendship. 🎶✨ There were plenty of smiles, great conversations and a big thank you to James Barry who provided the music !

To every one of our volunteers — thank you. Your generosity, kindness and commitment help us create another way every single day.

We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️

Sli Eile is stronger because of our volunteers.

O Our Best in Show "Púca" the Samoyed, with her owner Alex O'Keeffe, who came all the way from Bandon to show him at our annual Fun Dog Show 🐾🐶

Thanks to everyone who came and supported us today, this picture sums up the day unconditional love ! We all loved it, was lovely to see our tenants , volunteers, staff, and community just having fun !
