Officials from the newly established Fingal County Council Town Regeneration Office conducted a walkabout in Rush last week further to the announcement that Rush has been selected by the Department of Rural and Community Development as Fingal’s second Town Centre First Town.
They were accompanied by elected members and representatives from Rush Tourism and Rush Community Council.

Making Malahide better

Malahide a beautiful old town with a great history, conservation and preservation of the Town is so important for future generations to enjoy.
The very heart of our town is under threat of being changed in front of our eyes and we do not seem to have a say in how we preserve our Town Center.
Our elected representative’s seem to be ignoring residents and local residents representative groups who oppose these drastic changes to our Town.
Recent survey results published by Fingal Council Cleary state and I quote, 84 people took the survey out of over 20 thousand people who live in Malahide and this means that New street will be closed permanently? Does this make sense? Democracy is being bypassed in my simple opinion and you the residents need to get involved and stop these actions by people who have their own agendas.
Our Town is being exploited in more ways than we can imagine, our park, our beaches ,our Castle area, our green, our estuary, Cave’s Marsh.
It’s up to you the residents to save our Town.

This page has been created to let the people of Malahide express their views on what Malahide should be like going into the future. There as we all know been many changes over the years and some not for the better, so let us all try and make sure that going forward we preserve Malahide town for future generations to enjoy.
We have a great community and super Residents Associations along with Tidy Towns, so let us have a say on how we want our Council and our Locally Elected Officials elected by us, act in the best interests of the people of Malahide as a whole. Going forward this page will try and engage with our Council, post information on what is happening in Malahide area and if you wish to have a say or want us to publish your views please be courteous and civil in all comments.
