Women's Collective Ireland - DLR WCI DLR - is a community development project centre working with women in the DLR area.

We support women in our area to make positive changes, through educational, recreational, personal development and holistic courses and programmes. We also offer information and advice on a range of areas and issues that may be affecting you. We have a Counsellor and DLRCAT's Family Support Worker based in our centre also. Yesterday we had a wonderful Summer Celebration Day in Avondale. We started by having a lovely, cooked breakfast together, then some of us walked above or among the trees and took in the beauty of County Wicklow. We even had one of two adventurous ladies zooming down the slide!

It was an event that helped us all connect, form new friendships and brought great joy to us. As always it was time well spent.

Our Coordinator Sharon had the privilege to be invited on a study/work visit to Viscri, Transylvania Romania last week. Along with 17 other practitioners in the field of Community Work & Community Arts.

Thanks to Blue Drum Creative Arts Agency, Leargas and Erasmus for offering us the opportunity for such a rich learning experience, that we will bring back to our own work in Ireland
