Ballymahon's in bloom for the summer. We've just refreshed all of our street planting boxes for the season ahead - big thanks to the brilliant Mary Murtagh for her expertise.
And if you look up, you'll see one of our many pole planters filled with blooms, smiling back down at you. Each one comes with an ingenious hidden reserve supply of water for times of drought, which kept the plants happy and healthy during the recent hot spell.

What a potty bunch you are! A big thank you to everyone who came out to support our annual Pot-a-Pot fundraiser on Saturday. You helped us raise some vital funds for our work around the town, and you hopefully ended up with something pretty to take home and appreciate for the rest of the summer.

As ever, an extra special thanks to the staff of Ballymahon library for being such excellent and helpful hosts, to all our talented bakers, to SuperValu for the cups, and lastly to all of our volunteers for the countless hours of preparation that go into making events like this happen. We must do this again.

School's out, and some sunny weather is promised for the weekend. Finally!! 🌞
Perfect timing for our annual summer fundraiser. Come along this Saturday, stuff a pretty pot with some elegant and colourful flowering power, and stuff your face with some home-baked treats while you're at it. Your patio, and all of us in Tidy Towns will thank you.

Check out our resident gardening expert preparing to assemble our new self-watering pole planters. They'll be on display soon in the main street, just in time for the summer season. The planters were purchased thanks to a generous grant from Pobal and the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.
