Met Eireann has issued a Level Red severe weather alert (Wind) for Kerry.
Valid from 3am to 8am on Friday 18th February.
Members of the public are advised to remain indoors and to avoid travel.
Householders are urged to charge mobile phones and torches and to check in
with elderly or vulnerable neighbours today to ensure they are prepared for
the storm.
Also to make sure bins, signage, trampolines, hoarding and other items
outside are well secured.
It is important to note that even after the RED Wind Warning period is
finished, there will also be an ORANGE Wind warning in place from
8am-11am.

A Status Wind Warning was issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow, Munster, Galway.

Southwest or cyclonic winds becoming northwest will reach mean speeds of 65 to 80 km/h with gusts up to 130 km/h. Some coastal flooding, especially at high tide.
A Status - Snow warning is issued for Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Roscommon, valid from 3am to 3pm Friday.
And there is a Status - Wind & Rain & Snow warning for All of Ireland, valid from 1am to 3pm Friday.
There are Status Red, Orange and Yellow Marine warnings issued for Friday and there are Yellow Wind and Snow warnings for Northern Ireland for Friday.
