County Clean Up day is fast approaching. Saturday 12th April will see us picking litter from the four approach roads to the village. We could do with volunteers so anyone interested in helping should contact us at 087 637 0738. We have Litter Pickers, Red Bags, Gloves and Hi-Viz vests for all who want to help. We will assemble at the church at 10am and proceed to the various roads from there. Anyone wishing to do a road in the week before or after the 12th can contact us if they need any of the above equipment. All bags to be returned to the KWD collection point at the Community Centre and only Red County Clean-Up Day bags will be collected, so please use the correct bags.

COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION PROGRAMME 2024
Lixnaw Development Association wishes to acknowledge the financial assistance received recently under the above programme, which has allowed us to carry out landscaping work and install a RE-TURN Bottle and Can wheelie-bin at Hermitage Park. All money claimed back through returning bottles and cans goes to Lixnaw Hurling Club to help fund their waste management programme. The Community Climate Action Programme is administered by Kerry County Council on behalf of the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications.

The time change this weekend will see the walkway at Hermitage Park lit up again in the evenings for all who wish to do a few laps.
Also...an AED (Defibrillator) is now accessible in the event of an emergency at the corner of the clubrooms near the scoreboard. The code to open the cabinet is C1234
