We have finally gotten to the most important stage and the purpose behind the Give Back for Jack weekend- presenting the amazing charities The Butterfly Club and BUMBLEance Children's Ambulance Service with the outstanding donations that we received from everyone near and far 👏 The presentations will take place in the Top of The Town pub in Askeaton, this Friday at 7:30pm! Absolutely everyone is welcome to the presentation and we hope ye can all make it. There’s no words that can describe how much all of yere support and love means to us, and for making Jack’s weekend such a massive success. However, on behalf of everyone on the committee we just want to say thanks again to all of our sponsors, supporters, helpers and whoever cheered us on 🧡 It blew us all away in the best possible way! We’re looking forward to seeing ye all again this Friday 🖤💛

Give Back for Jack raises over €70,000



It has taken the organisers of the Give Back for Jack weekend a full month since the event to count all the money raised.

That is because of the sheer volume of it, with the fundraiser garnering a whopping €70,753.26!

This amazing sum is down to all of those who donated so generously. The event received mammoth support in so many ways from so many.

The organisers of Give Back for Jack would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who donated and supported the weekend. It really does mean so much.

A presentation to both charities the event fundraised for – The Butterfly Club and Bumbleance – will be made in the coming weeks.

Monies raised will be also used to buy and install a new defibrillator in Askeaton at the Barber’s Corner. A bench in memory of Jack will also be built near this location. A new box for the defib in Centra, Askeaton will also be purchased.

Again, we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who made this weekend possible.

While this event arose from the tragic and immeasurable loss of Jack, it is heartening to see the fantastic support and community spirit around Askeaton.

What a weekend!! It’s hard to know where to start.. A massive thank you to every single person who planned this weekend with us, provided services, showed up and of course donated to Give Back for Jack this past weekend. It went above and beyond any of our expectations, and people’s generosity has been so appreciated. Askeaton might be a small town, but its community is massive🖤💛 These pictures are only a small taste of what activities happened on Saturday and Sunday!! Thank you all for being so amazing and for keeping Jack’s spirit alive, as heartbreaking as it is that we had this weekend for Jack, it gave us a little lift to see how loved he was by his community 🧡

First lot of events for Give Back for Jack completed!! What an amazing turnout 🥳 Thank you everyone who showed up and supported the last few days. Thanks to Carol and all in Cagneys bar for a great start with the poker night. A massive thank you to Caramel Ryan, the civic trust and all of her fabulous volunteers for the work they put into the coffee morning, raising €2355🧡 Another massive thank you to Eva, Mags, Luke, and all of the brave souls who volunteered for our Shave or Wax last night, such amazing spirit and support shown by everyone. We’ll see all of ye in Askeaton soccer pitch for day 2🤩

We received this beautiful poem from during the week, and thought it would be fitting to post it today on Jack’s first anniversary. It means the world to us, all of the support and the beautiful words we’ve received since we started planning this weekend for Jack! Looking forward to seeing all of ye over the weekend🧡
