It offers services to the local community of St Mary's and Kings Island. It was originally known as St Mary's Integrated Develpoment Programme (S.M.I.D.P.). It became a company limited by guarantee in 2002 and changed its name to St Mary's Area Integrated Development aka St Mary's A.I.D.
