Blood Bike Mid West Blood Bike Mid West Ireland is a charitable organisation that provides FREE transport to the HSE, private hospitals, clinics & hospices.

We operate an out of hours service using volunteer riders to save money. This can then be put back into primary care.

Roger and Declan were quick to to respond this evening to a request for two urgent runs. Declan headed to Newcastlewest. Roger had a link up with Blood Bike South with a medical package for transport to Cork. This weekend Richard and Gerry will be on duty looking after our local hospitals transporting samples to the University Hospital Limerick. Anthony will be heading to Athlone transporting donor breast milk, then bringing donor milk to the Neonatal unit of the University Maternity Hospital Limerick. Well done everyone.
Our Facebook team are on a break for a week. You can be assured our volunteers will be out this coming week responding to requests from the HSE and providing a free medical transport service to the people of the Mid West and surrounding areas.

To finish off the holiday weekend. Anthony and Trix worked together to transport samples from Tralee to Portlaoise. Anthony also collected from the University Maternity Hospital Limerick. While they were on the road Declan headed up to Athlone with donor breast milk for onward transport to the Breast Milk Bank in Enniskillen. Well done.

This week Richard collected a medical device from a private address in County Clare for transport to the University Hospital Limerick. William headed out on a 300km round trip. Collecting an urgent medical package from a private address in Co Tipperary then linking up with Blood Bikes East in Portlaoise who continued onward to Dublin. Well done everyone.
