Raheen Toastmasters hosted Area 13 Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contest last Tuesday.
Area 13 consists of four clubs ( Ennis Toastmasters, Kilrush Toastmasters, Raheen Toastmasters and Shannon Toastmasters). Three Contestants took part in the Humorous Speech Contest and six contestants in the Table Topics Contest. It was a very enjoyable evening where Ann Donnelan ( Kilrush) took third place, Declan Drummey ( Shannon) second place and our very own member from Raheen, Donald Lea took first place in the Humorous Speech Contest. In the Table topics contest, third place went to Patricia Clune ( Ennis), second place to Declan Drummey ( Shannon) and first place to Geraldine Lambert ( Shannon). We had many guests including guests from Analogue Devices. We would like to thank everyone for the support and to all who helped out in making the contest a success. Best of luck to Donald Lea and Geraldine Lambert who will go forward to the Division A final at the Viking Hotel in Waterford next Saturday ( 23rd November).
