We have 2 upcoming programmes beginning soon to offer support to families. Please reach out for support and referral onto either of these programmes.

The M-PACT programme is starting next week in Letterkenny. It is a family programme for families and children/young people impacted by parental substance misuse.

The NVR programme is beginning at end of Oct (date TBC) in Inishowen in partnership with Hughie's Corner. It is a group programme for parents experience challenging behaviour at home from their young people.

Well done to everyone involved in the National Assembly on Alcohol Harm that took place on Tuesday in Portlaoise. The Irish Community Action on Alcohol Network(ICAAN) displays dedication, passion and commitment in working collectively to prevent and reduce alcohol harm across our communities in Ireland. On the road again. After a really successful event in Cork City last week, Unmasking Influence will now be shown at a special screening with the co-Executive Producer, Dr May Van Schalkwyk next Monday evening. This event is being co-hosted by Maynooth University Health Campus initiative and Building SAFER Maynooth. Our CEO, Paula who features in the documentary will also be part of the panel discussion. Last Friday, our Board were proud to publish our 2025 Annual report, our last as Alcohol Forum Ireland. One of the areas of work covered, is our support for community action on alcohol and the Building SAFER Communities project which is piloting and evaluating a community development approach to reducing and preventing alcohol harm, modelled on the WHO's SAFER Package of high impact alcohol policies. We had a wonderful morning at our 'The Ripple Effect' seminar. The morning started off with some people taking a lovely and meaningful walk to An Grianan of Aileach, followed by a powerful and inspiring event with our amazing speaker panels and great engagement from our participants. It was great to partner with Extern and input from Seeds of Connection for this event. Thank you to everyone who took part and got involved in the day 💜
