The Play Matters Team are happy to announce that we are moving back indoors on 14th October 2026 during the winter months for our Wednesday morning playtime sessions. The location is at the Rosses CDP, Chapel Road, Dungloe and the new times will 10:30am to 12noon. €3 per child and €5 per family. Snacks and refreshments are provided. There is a sensory garden at the back of the building if anyone wishes to go outdoors. There is parking around the building or the Cope car park is across the road.
Looking forward to seeing you all there. Everyone welcome! 😊

There's still time to enter the GUI National Children’s Art Competition!

We’re inviting children aged 4-15 to show us their creativity through an artwork sharing their vision of an “Ireland of the Future”.

Are you Childminding in your own home or thinking about Childminding in your own home?
The Pre-Registration Training Programme will help you to:
• Understand the new childminding regulations.
• Apply the regulations to your childminding practice.
• Understand the Tusla registration process for childminders.
• Understand the documentation required to register with Tusla.
• Access supports and resources.
It will also provide an opportunity to meet with other childminders both new and existing which will offer you great peer to peer support.

Play Matters Toddlers Group are looking for volunteers to help with the set up, facilitate play and craft activities and to help pack away at the end of the sessions. We can support work experience needs or also serve as an opportunity for those who are considering a career in pre school / after school programmes and child education or care.
During the summer months we are at Teach Biddy on the River Walk, Dungloe. The outdoor sessions are Wednesday mornings 10:30am-12:30pm.
During the winter months we are indoors at the Rosses CDP, Dungloe, the indoor sessions are on Wednesday mornings 10:30am-12pm. We will be flexible with your needs and time scales and will work around your availability.

All volunteers will be Garda vetted and we support further education needs and encourage the use of gaeilge if possible (not essential) or other primary or secondary languages that support our mission that all children have the right to be included and supported to play freely in our Community. This will be our last outdoor session at Teach Biddy for the summer season, before heading indoors at the Rosses CDP. So, Join us this Wednesday 7th October 2026 for our outdoor playtime session for the little ones. Outdoor play can be a little messy, with water and sand play areas, so dress for mess and the weather!! We have outdoor cover if the weather is not so good, there is also space inside the hut for play.
Play times are from 10:30am - 12:30pm, we will provide snacks for the children and refreshments for the adults (please remember a travel cup for a tea or coffee)!
Cost is €3 per child and €5 per family. Everyone welcome. 😊
