Knockraha Environment Group Knockraha is a community in Co.Cork, we have set up this campaign page to raise awareness & oppose the Eirgrid Converter.

Knockraha is a small community in Co.Cork and we have set up this campaign page to raise awareness and oppose the Eirgrid Grid Link Project. The grid link project is proposing to link Co.Cork to Co.Kildare with a 400kV High Voltage overhead line using 45m high pylons. As part of the project a new 400kV substation is to be constructed within 8Km of the existing substation in Knockraha. This will destroy the beautiful landscape & environment of Knockraha and the surrounding areas.
