Westmeath Centre for Independent Living Ltd. The Westmeath Centre for Independent Living is a non profit organisation providing Personal Assistants to Leaders throughout the Westmeath area.

In the late 1990's when a need was recognised in the local community the Centre was set up. A local Voluntary Community Group was formed to investigate and provide this Personal Assistant service to Leaders. FÁS (now DSP) granted and aided a Community Employment (CE) Scheme for 15 Participants. In early 2000 due to Leader applications exceeding expectations the Midland Health Board (now the HSE) s

anctioned funding for more Personal Assistants to be employed. Both agencies still provide us with funding to date.
