You don’t need to have a child in Beavers, or have any Scouting experience. If you’re over 18 and could give us some time on a Wednesday evening, we’d love to hear from you. And if you do have a Beaver-aged child waiting for a place, volunteering can help us create that place.

We’re looking for parents guardians, or siblings over 18 to join our Beaver leadership team on Wednesday evenings.

No experience? No problem. Full training is provided, and you’ll have plenty of support from the rest of the team.

Volunteer with us and your Beaver-aged child, 6 to 8 years, will move to the top of the queue for our September intake.

A small bit of your time could open the door to a very big adventure, for both of you. 🌲🧭

***SILVER STANDARD***

Wow! The Crean Crackers Patrol achieved SILVER on our groups first ever participation in the The Phoenix Challenge. We could not be prouder of;

Events like these cost large amounts of money to participate in.. and none of that would have been possible without a very supportive Group Leader Fiona O'Shea. Thank you.

Scouters gave up holidays and work to help the patrol practice. Shout outs to the super scout section scouters Ciaran Geoghegan, Fiona o'Shea, Karen Delahan Maher, Laura Heap and Marie Hickey. Special shout out to our fantastic super venture Jack Pearson for all the days spent in the field coaching, mentoring and motivating 👏👏👏👏

Ciarán staffed the event (no adult was allowed help them so they put the adults to work). He had long days and nights. Fiona and Marie staffed ( ) with thanks to Eoin the Chief Scout🙏🏻🙏🏻

Friendships were solidified... special shout out to patrol neighbours Clondalkin Scouts... friendships for life!

Raphoe Scout Group, Dungarvan Scouts 11th Waterford and 19th/29th Waterford St Mary's Ballygunner Scout Group (massive congrats!) came to visit site and we hope to cross paths more over our journey.

The patrol are deliciously exhausted and enjoying a lie in after all the 7am starts. So well deserved. We just could not be prouder of the way they excelled in their programme stations, with special mentions of their laughter, teamwork and camaraderie. It wasn't all

Thank you to Conor O'Regan from Lakelands Scout County for the wonderful surprise presentation of county neckers to mark the occasion. Our pals in Mullingar Scouts - 1st/10th WH received these too as well as also achieving silver standard. The future is bright in our county!

Meet Gráinne Heap, one of our Venture Scouts (who motivated and supported our Phoenix Patrol.)

Gráinne is representing Ireland in the U21 De Padel International Canoe Polo Tournament this weekend in Belgium.

We wish her and all her local and national team mates the very best success on their International Competition.

We are super proud of our 'Crean Crackers' Patrol who set off this morning from Milltownpass, on the groups very first The Phoenix Challenge, one of two patrols representing the Lakelands Scout County.

These scouts have excelled at teamwork, good humour and smiling under pressure as well as encouraging and supporting each other throughout their learning journey.

The prize now is to savour every moment of the next few days in Castle Saunderson. You have already WON (...our respect and admiration 👏👏👏)

Keep the spirit of scouting alive up there (and do a good turn if you can help another patrol out at all) ⚜️⚜️⚜️

What an incredible Cubs End of Year Camp at Lough Dan Scout Centre🏕️🌲

Our Cubs had a busy weekend climbing Scarr Mountain, raft building, swimming, and hammocking among the trees

A sincere thank you to all of our scouters who gave up their weekend to make this camp possible.
Wishing our cubs a fantastic summer, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another year of adventure! ⚜️😊

Our Scouts have been making the most of the good weather recently with plenty of time spent in the outdoors. Great teamwork, effort and enthusiasm from them all as they prepare for the Phoenix challenge. First time for our group to take part. We are so looking forward to it.🏕️⚜️☀️
