It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our dear friend, Antonia.

Antonia was a familiar face to our team at the GPO, and it was a privilege to have known her. No matter when we saw her, she always managed to put a smile on our faces. She will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, and the chats, laughter, and smiles we shared over the years.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with everyone who knew and loved Antonia during this incredibly difficult time.

May she rest in peace. You will never be forgotten by all of us at Help Our Homeless. ❤️🕊️

💙 A little update from Help Our Homeless Ireland 💙

It’s been a long time since we’ve posted, and we just wanted to explain our absence.

The past while has been particularly busy and difficult for us personally, with a lot happening behind the scenes. Sometimes life throws things at you that have to take priority, and unfortunately, keeping up with social media had to take a back seat for a while.

But please know that the work of Help Our Homeless Ireland never stopped. ❤️

We have continued doing what we’ve always done — helping those who are homeless and vulnerable, supporting people in need, and doing everything we can to make a difference. In fact, it has been as busy as ever.

We may not have been posting about it, but we have been here, working away quietly in the background.

We’re hoping to get back to sharing more updates with you all again. Thank you, as always, to everyone who continues to support us, donate, volunteer and believe in what we do.

Your kindness and support mean so much. ❤️

💙 Thank You Everyone 💙

What an incredible day at the Billy O’Connor Memorial Run.

Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone who attended, donated, shared our posts and helped make the event such a success, we are delighted to announce that a total of €2,530.15 and €100 fuel voucher was raised for Help Our Homeless.

A huge thank you to the 4 Counties R.C for organising this wonderful tribute to Billy. Your hard work, dedication, and support are truly appreciated.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came together to honour Billy's memory. The turnout, kindness, and community spirit shown throughout the day were a fitting tribute to an amazing man who gave so much to others.

Billy's legacy of compassion and generosity lives on, and this incredible amount will help us continue supporting people experiencing homelessness.

Thank you all for helping us give Billy the run he deserved. 💙🏍️🏎️

Tomorrow, we come together to honour the memory of Billy O’Connor, a dedicated volunteer and great friend of Help Our Homeless.

Organised by the 4 Counties R.C, this special run celebrates Billy’s life while raising vital funds to support people experiencing homelessness, a cause he cared deeply about. 💙

We’re honoured to share this special event organised by The 4 Counties R.C in memory of Billy O’Connor, a valued volunteer and true friend of Help Our Homeless 🏍️🏎️

Billy gave his time, energy, and heart to supporting others, and this run is a fantastic way to celebrate his life while continuing the work he cared so deeply about. All proceeds from the day will go towards helping those experiencing homelessness 💙

🐣🌧️ As Storm Dave approaches tonight, our thoughts and prayers are with those who have no shelter to call their own.
While many of us are settling in with our families, preparing to celebrate Easter and waiting for the Easter Bunny 🐰 🏡, there are people out there facing the cold, wind and rain alone 🌧️☔️

Tomorrow, our collections will go ahead as normal. Any surplus Easter treats, food or essentials will be so deeply appreciated and will bring a little bit of comfort and kindness to those who need it most 🍫🍪🥪
