Kilteely Dromkeen Community Festival

Kilteely Dromkeen Community Festival Festival takes place from August 29th to 31st A fun filled activity weekend with fun for all age groups.

This is a great family weekend with a Soapbox Derby, Fancy dress (adult and kiddies), Live music, side shows , Bouncy Castles, Pet Farms, Dog shows, skittles and even a donkey derby! The main event of the weekend then starts at 4pm on the Sunday with THE SOAPBOX DERBY. This is a hotly contested competition where handmade carts will race down the steep incline of the main street in the village over

300metres to compete for the fastest time and a prize of € 200 and a perpetual cup. Being a little mad or crazy helps, if you intend to participate in this derby!! The event is a highlight in the community calendar and over the last year "gathering" packs have been sent to Kilteely people around the globe, we welcome them all home to celebrate with us!

U6/8/10 Fun race at 9.30am - 800m on Closed Road between Junction 3 and 4 (Finish Line)
U12 Race at 9.40am 1 lap x 7.5km
U14/16 Race at 9.40am 2/4laps of 7.5km
C3/W race at 11.30am. 7 laps x 7.5km = 52.5km
C1/C2 race at 1.45pm. 12 laps x 7.5km = 90km.
