While the good weather is here, it’s important to make the most of every opportunity. 🌿☀️

Today, the Kilmallock CE Scheme team carried out maintenance work on two of our town’s most popular walking routes. We mowed the grass, cleaned the footpaths, and tidied the surrounding areas.

These jobs may seem small, but they all contribute to keeping Kilmallock clean, welcoming, and a place we can all be proud to call home.

This week, the Kilmallock CE Scheme team has been carrying out a huge amount of work to improve the appearance of our town, including mowing green areas and cleaning footpaths. 👏

Special attention has been given to footpaths in different parts of Kilmallock. Unfortunately, once again, we have to raise the same issue.

Dog fouling on our footpaths is still a problem.

We would like to ask all dog owners, once again, to please act responsibly. Cleaning up after your dog is not a favour—it is a basic courtesy to your neighbours, children, older people, and everyone who uses our footpaths every day.

Both we and the Tidy Towns team have reminded people about this many times before. Yet our crews are still having to clean up after those who believe someone else should do it for them.

No. It is the responsibility of every dog owner.

Let's show respect for the people who work hard to keep Kilmallock clean and help make their job a little easier.

Today was a busy day for the Kilmallock CE Scheme team. One of the key parts of our work is keeping the lawns in the residential areas and parks of our town neat, tidy, and well maintained.

We always try to cut the grass before it grows too tall. Regular maintenance helps keep our public spaces clean, attractive, and enjoyable for everyone in the community.

It was a long day with plenty of work to do, but the team got the job done. It's always rewarding to see the results of our efforts and know that we're helping make our town look its best every day.

The Kilmallock CE Scheme team was hard at work again at Kilmallock West Wall Walkway.

We mowed the lawns, cleared away rubbish and tidied up the footpaths to keep this area clean, neat and pleasant for everyone to enjoy. These may seem like simple jobs, but they make a big difference to both residents and visitors to our town.

A big thank you to the whole team for their hard work, dedication and great teamwork! Together, we are making Kilmallock a little more beautiful day by day. 💪🍀

Well-maintained road verges are not only pleasing to look at — they also make our roads safer for everyone who uses them.

Keeping the grass and vegetation along the roadside neatly trimmed makes it easier for drivers to see pedestrians and cyclists, improves visibility around bends and entrances, and keeps the whole roadside looking clean and well cared for.

The Kilmallock CE Scheme team is constantly working to keep the verges on the roads leading out of our town in good condition. Last week, we worked first along Bruff Road, and then moved on to Railway Road.

🌿 Bruff Road — another area looking neat and tidy!

On one side of the road, the Kilmallock CE Scheme team cleared back overgrown bushes whose branches were getting in the way of pedestrians. We also cut the grass and tidied up the roadside verge on the opposite side.

There was plenty of work to do, but the result was worth it: cleaner, tidier and safer for everyone using the road. 💪🌿

Our simple rule: if we’re tidying one side of the road, we might as well do both! 😉

Weeds between the paving slabs can appear almost unnoticed, but over time they can make Kilmallock’s footpaths look untidy.

So our team is back in action 💪 We’re clearing the weeds, tidying up the footpaths and giving them a fresh, clean look.

With the return of rainy weather to Kilmallock, our flower beds and green spaces are gradually recovering after the recent dry spell. The grass is coming back to life, but it now needs a little extra care and attention to restore its healthy, well-kept appearance.

The Kilmallock CE Scheme team is working hard every day to help our green spaces recover and keep our town looking its best. We are confident that the results of this work will soon be visible for everyone to enjoy.
