💗 5 YEARS IN REMISSION — WHAT A JOURNEY 💗
In 2019, our lives changed forever when our beautiful daughter Amber was diagnosed with RMS cancer. What followed was a journey we never could have imagined — one filled with fear, uncertainty, strength, love and an incredible amount of support.
Then, in 2021, we got the news we had prayed and hoped for — Amber went into remission. 🎗️💗
And now, here we are in 2026, incredibly proud and grateful to say that Amber is 5 YEARS IN REMISSION! ❤️
What makes this milestone even more special is seeing the little girl who went through so much growing into the amazing girl she is today. Amber is now starting 4th class, delighted to head off to school every day. And this year, she gets to experience it as a big sister, with her little sister starting Junior Infants. 🥰🎒❤️
Throughout Amber’s journey, so many amazing people supported our family through Action for Amber. The generosity, kindness, messages, prayers and continued support we received meant more to us than we could ever put into words.
We wanted to make sure that the incredible generosity shown to Amber could continue to help other children and families facing their own difficult journeys. The funds raised through Action for Amber have now been divided between and donated to the following wonderful charities and organisations:
❤️ Children’s Leukaemia Association
❤️ Cliona Foundation
❤️ Childhood Cancer Ireland
❤️ Aoibheann’s Pink Tie
❤️ Cashel Ward, Kerry General Hospital
❤️ Ronald McDonald House
❤️ St. John’s Ward, Crumlin Hospital
❤️ Killorglin Hospice
❤️ Alannah and Polly’s Fight for Sight
To every single person who donated to Action for Amber, supported our family, checked in on us, shared our journey or simply kept Amber in your thoughts — thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Your generosity helped us through one of the hardest times of our lives. Knowing that the funds raised can now go on to help other children, families and organisations makes it even more meaningful.
When we look back at 2019 and everything our little girl went through, it is hard to believe where we are today. From a cancer diagnosis, through treatment and the uncertainty that followed, to watching her walk through the school gates as a happy, healthy 4th class girl and big sister, while her little sister starts Junior Infants — we couldn't be more proud. ❤️
5 years in remission.
5 years of hope.
5 years of gratitude.
And a lifetime of being thankful. 🎗️💗
Thank you all for being part of Amber’s journey. ❤️
