Standing beside the phenomenal Anne-Marie O’Brien, who walked an astounding 260 kilometres over the eight-week Move for Axel challenge, I’m reminded once again of the extraordinary power of community.

It’s people like Anne-Marie—who show up with grit, generosity, and pure kindness—who make fundraising initiatives like this possible and help me continue to honour Anthony’s spirit in such a meaningful way.

✨ A MASSIVE SHOUTOUT TO ANNEMARIE O’BRIEN! ✨

Every now and then someone does something that truly stops you in your tracks — and AnneMarie O’Brien has done exactly that.

Quietly powering away in the background, not on Strava, no fuss, no fanfare… she went on to walk an incredible 240 km over the 8-week Move for Axel challenge and raised a phenomenal €800 for our chosen charities.

🎉 HUGE SUCCESS! A massive thank you to the incredible community of “Cycle for Axel”! 🎉

Look at what we’ve achieved together! We are absolutely blown away by your efforts and generosity:

Over €3,500 raised in donations! Your contributions will make a real difference, thank you!

An astounding 17,657.1 km cycled! That’s almost half the way around the Earth! 🌍

A monumental 119,139 m climbed! That’s equivalent to climbing Mount Everest more than 13 times! 🏔️

This achievement is truly inspiring, and we could not have done it without every single participant, donor, and supporter.

Eight weeks. Countless steps, spins, cycles, miles — and a community that showed up with heart every single day.

Today marks the final day of our 8-week Move for Axel challenge, and I’m feeling deeply grateful. This journey has pushed me that extra mile, lifted my spirits, and reminded me what collective purpose can do. It has been inspiring, energising, and incredibly meaningful.

To everyone who moved with us, supported us, cheered us on, or contributed in any way — thank you. You’ve helped honour Axel’s legacy in the most powerful, uplifting way.

We’ve raised awareness and vital funds for three incredible charities:
• CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young)
• Midwest Cancer Foundation
• Irish Rugby Charitable Trust

What a weekend… the final days of our 8 week challenge Move for Axel and Cycle for Axel. 💛🚴‍♀️
I’m honestly blown away by how inspiring and motivating this whole movement has been. Being part of such an incredible team has meant the world. Each and every one of you — absolute legends. 🙌

Eight weeks have absolutely flown, and what a powerful way to honour my big brother. He’d be so proud of us all. 💛✨
