Breaking News!

We are beyond delighted to include yet another phenomenal speaker to the Resonance Lough Derg Festival Lineup.

Áine Kerr is one of the most highly credited women in Ireland, with a multi-award winning career spanning news, journalism, technology and business.

She is host of Reignite on RTÉ Radio One which has been running for six seasons. She is also chair of Gaisce, (the President of Ireland’s award for young people), chair of the 109 million euro social innovation fund Rethink Ireland and chair of the education schools initiative for girls; The Shona Project. She is an advisor to TechFoundHer and AwakenAngels aimed at supporting women in business.

As an entrepreneur and co-founder, Áine has had two successful exits, first with Storyful (acquired by News Corp) and then with Kinzen (acquired by Spotify). A former Global Head of Journalism Partners at Facebook in New York, Áine has also worked for Ireland’s main broadsheet newspapers.

She received an honorary doctorate from Dublin City University in 2025 for her work in media, technology and civic society. She is a two-time graduate of DCU with a Bachelor of Education (B’Ed) and Masters in Journalism (MAJ). She holds a Masters in Business Practice with University College Cork and is a Fellow of the Sulzberger Leadership Program in Columbia University, NYC. Áine is also a qualified and accredited Executive Coach.

We are beyond thrilled to have her join us on Main Stage at Resonance Festival of Ideas. Áine will join economist David McWilliams, broadcaster Cathy Halloran, change-maker Kim Mackenzie-Doyle FIDI and Olympian David Gillick, sharing ideas that resonate. Music on the night is from singer songwriter, Gemma Hayes.

Resonance is taking place on the 11th and 12th of February at various locations around Lough Derg.

Resonance Lough Derg is proudly supported by GoCar Ireland, Homely, Western Development Commission, Fáilte Ireland, Clare County Council Tipperary County Council and The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre.

What if growth isn’t the goal anymore?
What if the real question is:
How do we help our communities truly thrive — within planetary limits?

Join us for From Growth to Thriving: A Doughnut Economics Action Lab for Local Communities — a fast, hands-on 90-minute workshop designed for people shaping places, policy, and community initiatives.

Inspired by Kate Raworth’s Doughnut Economics, this session turns big sustainability ideas into practical, local action. You’ll work on a real initiative from your own place — and leave with something you can actually use.

Led by Viv Chambers, Founder of Bricolage

On-the-floor mentorship from Albert Quigley & Steve Coakley

Practical. Sharp. Community-first.
Because 90 minutes could change how you think about your community’s future.
