A lovely treat for everyone today! 🥕🍰☕️

Ronan brought us in a delicious homemade carrot cake, made using carrots grown right here in our very own polytunnel! 🌱🥕

The recipe came from Shane Smith’s Loaf Tin Bakes, and it certainly didn’t disappoint — a delicious way to put our homegrown produce to good use.

And as if the cake wasn’t enough, Ronan also made a lovely pot of coffee for everyone to enjoy. What a treat! 😊

We made delicious homemade pesto using the basil we grew in our polytunnel. We enjoyed it on crackers topped with some of our lovely tomatoes. 😋

It is great to see the produce we’ve grown ourselves being used to make something so tasty. There’s nothing quite like enjoying the fruits of our own garden! 💚🌱

Donna from Kildare Sports Partnership is back with us for another short course in Harvest! 💪💚

This week, we got moving with resistance bands, trying out a variety of exercises to build strength, improve mobility and, most importantly, have a bit of fun while being active together.

Tuning in online today for the launch of the Green Ribbon campaign 💚

Now in its 17th year, the Green Ribbon campaign is a month-long opportunity to raise awareness, encourage conversations around mental health, show support, and remind people that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.

Looking forward to being part of the conversation throughout the month and seeing people come together to support this important campaign. 💚

A lovely trip to Kildare Farm Foods last week! 🐄🌿

The shop has had a makeover and now has a lovely rustic farm-style interior. We enjoyed having a look around, picked up a few bits, stopped for a coffee ☕ and, of course, spent some time checking out the animals.

Sunshine, creativity and a little bit of science. ☀️💙

This week, our Craft Club had a go at cyanotype printing—and what better day to do it than the equinox!

Using the summer sunshine, we experimented with flowers, feathers, keys, cut-out figures and letters to create striking blue prints. After a few test runs, we found that 3 minutes in the sun gave us the perfect exposure.

It was amazing to see how everyday objects could be transformed into beautiful pieces of art, and no two prints were the same.

Here's to celebrating a brilliant summer and welcoming a new season with creativity.

This week at Harvest Hub, the agapanthus are putting on a spectacular display in the walled garden, while the red roses continue to bloom beautifully. In the vegetable garden, the sunflowers are reaching for the sky, and the changing colours are giving everything a wonderful autumn feel.

The final potatoes have been lifted, accompanied by a curious robin who seemed determined to supervise the harvest. 🐦

With the growing season drawing to a close, we've cleared the beds and are preparing to sow green manure over the winter, helping to restore and enrich the soil for next spring.

Another great session with Wayne at RACE last week! 💪

We kept busy using resistance bands, pushing the sled, trying out the exercise machines, and working with weights. After all that hard work, we even had time to look around the yard and say hello to two horses enjoying their lunch. 🐴

A great mix of movement, fresh air, and good company. Thanks, Wayne—we're looking forward to next week!
