🍎🥧 A little baking from the garden to the kitchen! 🧁🍌

We put our homegrown apples to good use by baking a delicious apple pie, and while the oven was already on, we made the most of it and baked some yummy banana and chocolate chip muffins too! 🍫🍌

Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked treats, especially when they’re made with produce we’ve grown ourselves. 🌱❤️

🎨🌿 We’re delighted to have started our new Creative Wellbeing course, funded by Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB), here at Harvest! 💚

The course is all about exploring creativity, trying new things and taking time to focus on wellbeing in a relaxed and supportive environment. ✨

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s creativity flourish, discovering new skills and enjoying the many benefits that come from making time to be creative. 🖌️🌸💚

🍂🌼 Bringing a little bit of the garden indoors! 🌸🍁

We’ve been putting our dried strawflowers, picked from the garden over the summer, to good use by creating some beautiful autumnal wreaths and a dried flower display. 🌼🍂

They’re now hanging in our canteen above a table filled with our harvest of turnips, apples and cabbage, bringing all the lovely colours and textures of autumn indoors. 🍎🥬🍂

A lovely way to make use of what we’ve grown and enjoy a little more of the garden as the seasons change. 🧡🌾

✨ A little look at the latest creations from our Craft Club! 🎨🧶

We had some members try their hand at painting and weaving for the very first time, and look what they made.

Caroline also tried her hand at crocheting these gorgeous little Christmas trees. 🎄❤️

👻🎃 As part of the Craft Club, we tried these DIY ghosts, and the results were amazing!

All you need is some light fabric, PVA glue and a balloon or a makeshift form to create these cute little ghosts. So simple, a little messy, but so much fun! 👻✨

🌿 Our Annual Garden Trip 🌿

Another lovely day out on our annual garden trip! This year, we were lucky enough to visit the beautiful Emo House.

We enjoyed a wonderful guided tour of the newly refurbished house and gardens, learning all about its history and admiring the beautiful work that has gone into bringing it back to life. 🏡🌺

After our tour, we had a lovely lunch in the café, which was the perfect way to round off a fantastic day.

A big thank you to everyone who made the day so enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to our next garden adventure! 🌷💚

🖤 First day at Craft Club! 🖤

One of our new members, who loves Halloween, spent her first session creating this fantastic gothic haunted house. 🏚️👻

We were blown away by her creativity, ingenuity and attention to detail — I especially love the little witch’s broom by the door! 🧹

She decided to put it on display in the centre for Halloween and hopes that it inspires others to get creative. 🖤🎃

🌱 ACT for Wellbeing – Week 2 of 4 🌱

We’re into week two of our ACT for Wellbeing course with Greg Stynes, Senior Psychologist with EVE.

Participants have responded really positively so far, learning practical skills to support wellbeing, identify roadblocks, and focus on what’s important to them.

Over the four weeks, we’ll develop a personal plan to help put these skills into action. 💚

A lovely treat for everyone today! 🥕🍰☕️

Ronan brought us in a delicious homemade carrot cake, made using carrots grown right here in our very own polytunnel! 🌱🥕

The recipe came from Shane Smith’s Loaf Tin Bakes, and it certainly didn’t disappoint — a delicious way to put our homegrown produce to good use.

And as if the cake wasn’t enough, Ronan also made a lovely pot of coffee for everyone to enjoy. What a treat! 😊
